South Jordan has a number of dedicated trails and open space, which is added to on an annual basis. Loop trails, are paved paths that follow the perimeter of existing parks, with convenient parking and access to amenities these small trails vary in size from less than 1000 feet to up to 1 mile. Several longer, regional trails also connect South Jordan to neighboring communities.
South Jordan maintains a variety of parks and open spaces throughout the city including large, active recreation parks, small neighborhood parks and even historical sites. These parks boast a number of different amenities including: playgrounds, pavilions (large and small), fishing ponds, basketball and other sport courts, groomed ball fields, and more.
